Define the following...

Please provide YOUR OWN definition to the following terms:
NATION
STATE
LIBERTY
JUSTICE

  1. Nation- a Nation is a group of people joined together by common opinions/ideologies. This could be anything from religion to political beliefs (though, nation doesn't necessarily mean government and politics) to a favorite genre of music.

    State- a state is similar to a Nation in that it is a group of people joined on some common ground, but for a state, that's literal. A state is primarily about location--everyone's in the same place, and in that place, they are governed by a central government.

    Liberty- Liberty is, in my opinion, free will. We are "at a liberty" to do whatever we choose, within the acceptable parameters of society. Of course, one can go beyond those parameters if one chooses to (again, you have liberty, free will, you are in control of your own choices).

    Justice- Justice is hard for me to really label, but I would say that Justice is the assurance that we (the inhabitants of a state) will be treated equally and fairly in every conflict we encounter.
